Ailene Dabney Obituary (1927

Ailene Dabney, 92, of Stanford, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Born on February 14, 1927 in Cabell, KY to the late George Lee Shelton, Sr. and Ila Summerfield Maupin Shelton. She was a member of Stanford Baptist Church in Stanford, KY. Survivors include one daughter, Judith Ann Hester of Stanford, KY; four grandchildren, David Brackstan Duncan (Tonya), James Zachary Hester (Eli), Amanda Summerfield Foster (Damon) and Steven Beachy (Rhoda) and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elmer Dabney; two brothers, George Lee Shelton, Jr. and Samuel Lafayette Shelton; and one sister, Elizabeth Caylor. A one-day service has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elk Springs Cemetery in Monticello, KY. Active Pallbearers are Brackstan Duncan, Zac Hester, Damon Foster, Steven Beachy, Clay Duncan, Brack Duncan and Tucker Foster Honorary Pallbearers will be Stanford Baptist Church Women's Class II.
