Alfreda Carrier Jenkins Obituary (1932

Alfreda Carrier Jenkins, 89, of Waynesburg, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born on November 3, 1932 in Lincoln County to the late Tilden and Stella Smith Carrier. She was the widow to the late Carl Jenkins. Alfreda worked as a seamstress at Palm Beach for 44 years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and quilting. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Christian Church in Highland, KY. Survivors include one son, Keith Jenkins of Waynesburg; one brother, Billy Carrier; one sister, Mae Harris; four grandchildren, Carla Elliott, Gail McGuire, Jennifer Brown and Shannon Jenkins; 8 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jenkins; parents, Tilden and Stella Carrier; and one son, Gary Jenkins. A one-day service has been scheduled for Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Mt. Moriah Christian Church in Highland, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Bill Gooch officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Brian Mullins, Allen Elliott, Randy Long, Christopher Long, Taren Naylor and Josh Brummett.
