Alice Fay (Covington) Rigney Obituary (1942 - 2022)

Alice Fay Covington Rigney, 79, of Stanford, KY passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born on June 22, 1942 in Georgetown, KY to the late Harold Covington and Mollie Pullen Littleton. She was the widow to the late Coy Dean Rigney. Alice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include one daughter, Dana Kirby (Tim); three sons, Yancey Rigney (Tina) of N. Charleston, SC, Coy Rigney Jr. (Christy) of New Port News, VA and Robin Rigney (Kim) of Lexington, KY; ten grandchildren, Misty, Ashley, Nicholas, Toby, Desiree, Meghan, Justin, Shania, Makayla and Kyla; thirteen great-grandchildren, Skyler, Makenna, Devon, Brody, Dalton, Gavin, Layne, Trace, Tuff, Mason, Alayah, Becklynn and Liam; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Dean Rigney; parents, Harold Covington and Mollie Pullen Littleton; three brothers, Harold Covington, Ronnie Covington and John Thomas Covington; and one sister, Peachy Moberly. A one-day service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Steve Harn officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
