Barbara Redmon

Barbara Hill Redmon, 79, of Florence, KY passed away at Fields of Florence Senior Living on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Born on January 24, 1947 in Covington, KY to the late Thomas Hill and the late Anna Stone Hill. She is the widow to the late Thomas Redmon.

Barbara devoted 33 years of her career to the Keebler Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also worked as a blackjack dealer at the former Grand Victoria Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Barbara was a former member of the Lions Club and the Red Hat Society, where she enjoyed giving back to her community. She enjoyed her days in retirement by spending time with her grandbabies, taking day trips looking for yard sales and cruising the aisles of Walmart.

Survivors include four children, Darren Kenney, Brandon Souder (Becky), Aaron Souder and Corie Curtsinger (Michael); three grandchildren, Hayden Smith, Josephine Mae Curtsinger and Jordan Souder; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and her cherished dog, Lilly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Redmon; parents, Thomas and Anna Hill; and six siblings, Kathryn Wiglesworth, Francis Cox, Raymond Hill (infant), Ray Hill, Mary “Sis” Slusser and Melvin Hill; and cherished dogs, Chancellor and Sofia.

A one-day service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
