Betty Iris (Pullum) Cook Obituary (1941

Betty I. Cook, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana (formerly of Stanford, KY) passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Born on February 14, 1941 in Kings Mountain to the late George and Lilly Leach Pullum. She is the widow to the late Shell Cook. Survivors include six children, Shelbourne "LeRoy" Cook (Mary), Steven Cook, Robert Cook (Joyce), Timmy Cook, Andrew Cook (Jody) and Jennifer Atkins; sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; three siblings, Beulah Naylor and Dorothy Cornett; three half-brothers, Lloyd Leach, Albert Pullum and Lewis Pullum; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shell Cook, parents, George and Lilly Pullum; and two brothers, Bobby Pullum and Delmer Pullum. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at K.P. Hall Cemetery in Kings Mountain.
