Buford Green Obituary (1950

Buford Green, 66, of Kings Mountain, KY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born June 18, 1950 in Danville, KY, he was the son of the late Oscar and Polly Gooch Green, and was a retired employee of Gray Construction Company. He loved farming, spending time with his grandchildren, and was a member of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife of 26 years; Letha McWhorter, one step-daughter; Robin Young (Jason) of Science Hill, KY, two grandchildren; Wyatt Comorat and Hayley Comorat, one half-brother; Melvin "Bootsy" Green, one half-sister; Dorothy Huston, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild; Samantha Comorat, one brother; Donnie Green, one half-brother; Melvin Green, and one sister; Roberta Gastineau. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 5-8pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the funeral home with Reverend Vola Brown officiating. Burial will follow at K.P. Hall Cemetery in Kings Mountain, KY. Casket bearers are: Dewayne Green, Phillip Green, Billy Carrier, Ricky King, and Darryl Meek.
