Carrie Evelyn Floyd Obituary (1945

Carrie Evelyn Floyd, 77, of Lancaster, KY passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Born on May 25, 1945 in Hubble, KY to the late James Asbury and Bertha Pearl Lane. She was the widow to the late Mellwood Floyd, jr. Survivors include three children, Keith Floyd (Beverly) of Hustonville, KY,Tammy Cain (Gary) of Casey County and Kendall Floyd (Dianna) of Danville, KY; four brothers, Jimmy Asbury, Ricky Asbury, Donald Asbury and Roy Asbury; three sisters, Sheila Walling, Barbara Long and Peggy Hale; four grandchildren, Amy Floyd, Nicholas Floyd, Hunter Floyd and Dylan Cain; six great-grandchildren, Caleb Baker, Emily Spears, Hannah Floyd, Sarah Floyd, Nikson Floyd and Hudson Floyd; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mellwood Floyd, Jr.; parents, James Asbury and Bertha Pearl Lane; four brothers, Wendall Asbury, Bobby Asbury, Stanley Asbury and Charles Asbury; and three sisters, Myrtle Delaney, Roberta Long and Kathy Long. A one-day service has been scheduled for Monday, November 7, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Jonathan Grizzel officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY. Active Pallbearers are Jimmy Asbury, Matt Asbury, Jeff Asbury, Nicholas Floyd, Hunter Floyd and Dylan Cain. Honorary Pallbearers are Roy Asbury, Sr., Donald Asbury, Anthony Long, Ricky Asbury, Caleb Baker, Dianna Floyd, Beverly Floyd and Amy Floyd.
