Darline Parrett

Darlene Elizabeth Parrett, 78, of Lancaster, KY passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Baptist Health Louisville. Born on March 11, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, KY to the late Edd Allen and the late Geneva Proctor Allen.

Darlene loved singing, dancing and listening to music, and her smile and laughter could brighten any room. Above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved each of the with all her heart. Darlene was the kind of person who would truly give you the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She attended Faith Tabernacle in Waynesburg, KY.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Whitis (Alice) and Gary Whitis; four siblings, Timmy Allen (Sherry), Barbara Eversole, Juanita Allen and Angel Combs; five grandchildren, Tyler Whitis, Tiffany Whitis, Jamie Heron, Leslie Heron and Cody Heron; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three siblings Donald Allen, Tommy Allen, Edna Chasteen; one son, Gerald Wayne Whitis and one grandson, Bradley Whitis

A one-day service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Mark Yocum officiating. Burial will follow at Rhimmell Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers are Tyler Whitis, Jarrod Emmerson, James Kidd, Brandon Douglas, Matthew Savage.
