Dessie Bertha (Williams) Reynolds Obituary (1928 - 2022)

Dessie Bertha Williams Reynolds, 93, of Danville, KY passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Landmark of Danville. Born on April 2, 1928 in Kings Mountain, KY to the late James J and Creota Catherine Greer Williams. Dessie was the widow of the late Lestel L. "Roy" Reynolds, who preceded her in death on February 21, 2015. Dessie had worked at Palm Beech Company in Danville, Cowden's Company in Lancaster and was a homemaker. She enjoyed farming, attending to her flowers and garden, quilting, working puzzles, going to auctions and having yard sales. She was a past member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church and Stanford Baptist Church and a current member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. Dessie leaves behind one son, Larry G. Reynolds (Colleen) of Danville; one granddaughter, Cristy Reynolds Clemans (Matt); two great-grandchildren, Avery Clemans and Ethan Clemans of Nicholasville; and one brother, Arlis Dee Williams (Stella) of Stanford. In addition to her husband and parents, Dessie was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl Greer, Wonza Williams, Kenneth Williams and Sherman Williams; and two sisters, Wilma Jenkins and Ivagene Ernst. A one-day service has been scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00-12:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be handled by Spurlin Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers are Ollie Nantz, Wanda Napier, Billy Moberly, Patrice Todd and Peggy Lair. In lieu of flowers, please give donations to the Dementia/Alzheimer foundation near you.
