Donna Wade Allen

Donna Wade Allen, 71, of Stanford, KY passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Danville, KY. Born on December 6, 1949 in McKinney, KY to the late Carvan and Beatrice Sears Wade. She was married for 54 years to the late F. Dale Allen, who passed away earlier this year. She was a member of the Stanford Church of Nazarene.

Survivors include three children, Steve Allen (Judy Hibbs) of Natural Bridge, KY, Stacey Ann Allen of Stanford, KY and Chris Allen (Jassamine) of Richmond, KY; three sisters, Caroline Yocum, Peggy Flannery and Betty Short; four grandchildren, Cody Gifford, Casie Allen, Christian Allen and Cameron Allen; three great-grandchildren, Natalie Gifford, Nora Gifford and Nova Gifford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, F. Dale Allen; parents, Carvan and Beatrice Sears Wade; one brother, Larry Wade; and five sisters, Lucille Pinkston, Margaret May, Geneva Martin, Patsy Vanhook and Iva Sue Stull.

Visitation has been scheduled for Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McGirr-Sandidge Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers are Steve Allen, Tony Short, Cody Gifford, Casie Allen, Chris Allen and Chris Vanhook. Honorary Pallbearers are Eddie "Popcorn" Brown, Jim Fields, Tommy Mason and Billy Brown.
