Edwin "Eddie" Glenn Wilcher, Sr., 74, of Waynesburg, KY passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born on November 6, 1946 in Hustonville, KY to the late Howard and Marcella Wilcher. Eddie was a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed trucking, working, collecting and being with family. He enjoyed going to church and was a member of Blue Lick Baptist Church. Survivors include five children, Debbie Lester (Matt) of Tampa, FL, Eddie Wilcher, Jr. (Tonya) of Waynesburg, KY, Melissa Poynter (Terry Bunch) of Stanford, KY, Carla Wilcher of Stanford, KY and Josh Wilcher of London, KY; former wife, Carol Wilcher; four sisters, Linda Henson, of Hustonville, KY, Janice Bush of Stanford, KY, Velma Frederick of Waynesburg, KY and Thelma Denham of Stanford, KY; eight grandchildren, Tyler Lester, Bryce Lester, Cody Wilcher, Tanner McAninch, Wyatt Wilcher, Colsen Fischer, Jase Poynter and Josie Fischer; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Marcella Lucas Wilcher; two sisters, Trisha Wilcher and Brenda Hill; and one great-granddaughter, Kynsleigh Wilcher. Visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY with Bro. Chris Huff officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Tyler Lester, Bryce Lester, Cody Wilcher, Tanner McAninch, Wyatt Wilcher, Colsen Fischer, Jase Poynter. Honorary Pallbearer is Josie Fischer.
