Ellen Brown

Fannie Ellen Patterson Brown, 88, of McKinney, KY passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Born on May 20, 1938 in Liberty, KY to the late Cash H. Patterson and the late Violet Tula Rowan Patterson. She is the widow to the late Albert Vernon “Moose” Brown.

Survivors include five children, Jerry Wayne Brown (Anita), Rebecca Kay Gilpin, Clifford Ray Brown (Jan Marie), Judy Gayle Price and Greta Sue Franks (Donnie); eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Vernon “Moose” Brown; parents, Cash and Violet Tula Patterson; and nine siblings, Johnny Patterson, Bobby Patterson, Cash “Junior” Patterson, Jim Patterson, Grace Snow, Hazel Johnson, Gladys Johnson, Margaret Wilson and Louise Moore.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Geneva Community Church in Hustonville, KY. The funeral service will be on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Eric King officiating at Geneva Community Church. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
