Ervin Alfred Stevens, Sr. Obituary (1945 - 2021)

Ervin Alfred Stevens, Sr., 76, of Preachersville, KY passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Born on June 13, 1945 in Lincoln County to the late Oley D. and Sarah Ellen Foley Stevens. Alford was a farmer and preacher for most of his life. He preached for over 40 years at Faith Temple Church. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, hunting and fishing. He loved fishing at Cedar Creek Lake in Stanford. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Ann Niekirk Stevens of Preachersville, KY; four sons, Ervin Alfred Stevens, Jr. (Lisa) of Preachersville, KY, John Stevens of Preachersville, KY, Roger Stevens (Kim) of Stanford, KY and Bobby Stevens of Crab Orchard, KY; three daughters, Christopher "Christy" Gail Hendrickson (Shannon) of Crab Orchard, KY, Judy Smith (Rodney) of Brodhead, KY and Angelia Nowlin (Aaron) of Stanford, KY; one sister, Jenny Stevens of Stanford, KY; eighteen grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Courtney, Kelly, Whitney, Hunter, Rachel, Cody, Austin, Leah, Logan, Ethan, Luke, Laura, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Autumn and Summer; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oley D. and Sara Ellen Foley Stevens; an infant daughter, Lisa Ann Stevens; two brothers, Kenneth Stevens and Archie Stevens; and three sisters, Easter Hale, Cora Ellen Privett and JoAnn Yocum. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Faith Temple Church in Preachersville, KY. Funeral service will be on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Temple Church with Bro. Ravin Fields, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Dix River Church of Christ Cemetery in Preachersville, KY. Active Pallbearers are Brandon, Justin, Logan, Hunter, Austin and Cody.
