Freddie Bon Fox Sr. Obituary (1940 - 2016)

Freddie Bon Fox, Sr., 76, of Stanford, KY passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at home. Born January 10, 1940 in Liberty, KY to the late Willie "Leo" and Josie Marie Atwood Fox, he was a member of the United States Army & The National Guard, a former Stanford Auxiliary Police Officer, a former Captain of the Stanford Rescue Squad, he served as Lincoln County Constable District #1, served with the Lincoln County Sheriff's office, was an employee of Rousey Drywall, and was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 54 years; Sue Hazlett Fox, one son; Fred Bon Fox, Jr. (Lisa) both of Stanford, KY, three brothers; Leonard Fox (Sue) of Stanford, KY, Kenneth Fox (Charity) of Independence, KY, and Marshall Fox of Stanford, KY, one sister; Anna Napier (Lynn) of Warren, AR, three grandchildren; Jeremiah Bon Fox, Roger Wayne Fox II, and Jonathan Chaz Fox (Ashley), six great-grandchildren; Macy Jade, Parker, Garnet, Railey, Harper, and Sparrow, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son; Roger Wayne Fox and one brother; John William Fox. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 5-9pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the funeral home with Reverends Johnny Adamson and Brad King officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. Casket bearers will be: John Sallee, Ed Brown, Curt Folger, Dannie Gilliam, Donnie Gilliam, and Bobby Wilcher. Honorary bearers are: Leamond Padgett, Ernest Hensley, Jr., Joe Gilliland, Edward Fields, Johnny Kolasa, Billy Moberly, Hoover Godby, Carrol Rousey, Josh Wilcher, and Kelly Wilcher. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to the National Parkinson Foundation (200 SE 1st Street Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131).
