Freeman Verda Denny Obituary (1956 - 2018)

Freeman Verda Denny, 62, of Stanford, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born May 8, 1956 in Crab Orchard, KY to the late Edward Denny and Bonnie Hacker Denny, he was the widower of the late Doris Denny. He worked as a farmer for most of his life and attended Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include three children, Edward Lee Denny of Crab Orchard, KY, Freeman Denny, Jr. (April) of Danville, KY, and Melissa Mink (Norman) of Lawrenceburg, KY; one brother, Johnny Denny (Phyllis) of Berea, KY; two sisters, Boneta Powell (Lester) of Stanford, KY, and Julie Hale (Paul) of Crab Orchard, KY; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Denny; and two sisters, Freda Denny and Betty Denny. Visitation will be Friday, July 27, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford from 11am-12pm. A graveside service will follow at 1pm at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Broughtontown, KY.
