Harry Franklin Hazlett, 83, of Stanford, KY passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Born on August 19, 1942 in Stanford to the late Joseph Hazlett and the late Georgia Phillips Hazlett.
Harry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was assigned to D Troop, 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry, and served in Vietnam from September 1967 until September 1968. Following his service, Harry built a career in construction before spending the final 14½ years of his career as a custodian at Hogsett Elementary School in Danville, Kentucky. Above all else, Harry was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather who found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved.
Harry also had a lifelong passion for Mopar automobiles. His enthusiasm was contagious, and thanks to Harry, everyone in the family proudly became apart of the Mopar Family. Whether talking cars, working on them, or admiring them, his love for Mopar’s became a lasting family tradition and one of the many ways he brought everyone together.
