Herman "Buck" Greer Obituary (1937

Herman "Buck" Greer, 79, of Kings Mountain, KY passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at home with his family by his side. Born May 28, 1937 in Kings Mountain, KY, he was the son of the late George Albert and Rosetta Pulliam Greer. He worked as a farmer for most of his life and was a former employee of Simpson Mill & Company for 13 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and in his spare time enjoyed working with his honeybees and popping walnuts. He was a 14 year member of Grace Fellowship Church in Stanford, KY. Survivors include his wife of 56 years; Frances Braunm Greer of Kings Mountain, KY, three daughters; Ivadean Greer of Lebanon, KY, Norma Jean Kocher (Bill) of Waynesburg, KY, and Lisa Ann Kilby (Freddie) of Crab Orchard, KY, one sister; Lorene Napier of Kings Mountain, KY, 8 grandchildren; Janafer Denson, Christopher Barnett, Michael Barnett, James Kocher, Heather Lanham, Rachel Floyd, Charles Petrey, and Dillon Wilson, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son; David Lynn Greer, two brothers; Marvin Greer and Hubert Greer, and two sisters; Gladys Clarkson and Ethel Irene Breeden. Visitation will be Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Grace Fellowship Church from 5-8pm. Funeral service will be 1pm Friday, February 17, 2017 at the church with Reverend Vola Brown officiating with a second visitation from 9:30am until service time. Burial will follow at K.P. Hall Cemetery in Kings Mountain, KY. Casket bearers will be: Christopher Barnett, Michael Barnett, James Kocher, Charles Petrey, Wayne Greer, and Bobby Clarkson. Honorary bearers are: Donald Denson, Hunter Denson, Ricky Denson, Jemma Kocher, Emmalynn Kocher, Rachel Floyd, Samantha Lanham, Makayla Lanham, Aubrey Lanham, and Dillon Wilson.
