Ivan Dale Isaacs Sr.
Ivan Dale Isaacs Sr., affectionately known as “Dale,” passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on September 22, 1962, Dale lived a life defined by hard work, unwavering faith, generosity, and unconditional love for his family and community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan Cecil Isaacs and Nannie Lou Isaacs.
Dale is survived by his sons, Ivan Dale Isaacs Jr. and Tyler Blake Isaacs (Hannah); his cherished grandchildren, Abigail, Christopher Dale, Adalyn, and the eagerly anticipated arrival of his grandson, Tyler Dale Isaacs. He is also survived by his brother, Arnold “Big A” Isaacs (Susan); his sister, Rosie Gabbert (Ed); his brother, Frank Isaacs (Gail); along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives he touched.
Known simply as “Dale” to distinguish him from both his father and his son, he was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, a loyal friend, and a mentor to many. He believed in leading by example and held himself and those he loved to the highest standards. Those closest to him will forever remember his familiar sayings: “Let’s rock and roll,” “Feet on the ground,” “I’ll take care of it,” “My way or the highway,” “That’s enough!,” “Suck it up, son,” and perhaps the words that meant the most, “I love you, son.”
Dale was known for his unmatched work ethic and servant’s heart. He spent more than 30 years as Plant Manager at Burkmann Mills and dedicated countless hours to serving his community as President of the Boyle County Fair, Treasurer of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a Little League coach, mentor, volunteer, and leader on numerous construction projects throughout Kentucky. As the owner of Danville Ace Hardware, he became known for greeting every customer with a smile, honest advice, and a willingness to help in any way he could.
He found great joy in spending time with his family, cheering on Lincoln County football, riding Harley-Davidsons, helping others, offering advice, and making lifelong memories with friends. Dale never met a stranger and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His legacy is one of integrity, generosity, perseverance, and love.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Dale lived life to the fullest, making every day count. His family finds comfort knowing that his influence will continue through the values he instilled in those who knew him: work hard, care for others, keep your faith, and always take pride in doing what is right.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to honor Dale’s memory support the business he loved by choosing Danville Ace Hardware for their hardware needs. Stop by, let the team take care of you, and ask for the “Dale Isaacs VIP Treatment”—a fitting tribute to a man whose greatest joy was helping others.
Dale will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever honored by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
