Jessie (Reynolds) Wall

Jessie Wall, 97, of Kings Mountain, KY passed away peacefully at her home on October 28, 2022. She was born to the late Roy and Bessie Reynolds on September 7, 1925. Following her mother's death in 1931, she was reared by an aunt, Lucille Reynolds Floyd. She attended school in Kings Mountain and graduated from high school in 1943. In 1944, she married Earl L. Wall and they were married for 56 years before his death in 2001. To them were born three children: Patsy McLaren (Harold) of Stanford, a son Bobby Wall (Judy) of Garrard County and their youngest son, Billy Wall of Walltown, KY. Bobby passed away in 2008.

She is also survived by six grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Susan Walters (Jamie), Joey Wall, Alissa Pendleton (Phil), Jennifer Summerville (Gary), Bradley McLaren (Crissy), and Jason Wall (Jody). Her seven great-grandchildren brought her much happiness: Hannah, Connor and Keaton Pendleton, Karissa and Dylan McLaren, Lexie Wall and Bryce Summerville. She was very interested in their lives until the very end, and she loved it when they came to visit.

She and Earl worked side by side on their farms in Lincoln and Casey County. They supported their family as dairy farmers. She treated her cows with tenderness, as if they were pets.

She accepted Christ at a young age and remained a member of a Christian Church until her health failed. She worked diligently in VBS when her children were young and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. She studied her Bible and was always prepared for her Sunday School Lesson. A few years ago, she attended Grace Fellowship Church where she reunited with old friends. She particularly enjoyed the singing, preaching and fellowship.

If there was one word that would describe her, it would be THANKFUL. She always thanked people for visiting and for anything they did for her, but mostly she was thankful to the good Lord for her health. She gave praise up until a few hours before her death.

A one-day service has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Vola Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, KY.

Active Pallbearers are grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are granddaughters and great-granddaughters.
