John Marcus Scharbrough

John Marcus Scharbrough, 77, of Stanford, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at home. Born on April 28, 1943 in Lincoln County, Ky to the late Henry Scharbrough and Sarah Allen Scharbrough. John worked in the Steel Mill earlier in life. He loved playing the guitar. He was a trader of any and all things, wheel and deal.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Maxine Griffin Scharbrough of Stanford, KY; daughter, Shirley Foley (Raymond) of Stanford, Ky; sister, Anne Scharbrough of Stanford, KY; grandson, Jacob Wayne Foley; a special nephew, Troy Scharbrough; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Scharbough and Sarah Allen Scharbrough; and sevenbrothers, Marty Scharbough, Sammy Scharbrough, Bill Scharbrough; James Scharbrough; Joe Scharbrough, Charles Scharbrough and Jake Scharbrough.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
