Johnathan Coleman

Johnathan David Coleman, 35, of McKinney, KY passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Born on September 7, 1990 to Lisa Hampton Carpenter and the late John Coleman.

Johnathan was known for his fun-loving personality and his ability to make those around him laugh. He loved pulling harmless pranks, cutting up with family and friends, and was never at a loss for words. Johnathan had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In his free time, he enjoyed setting off firecrackers, swimming, riding four-wheelers, and fishing. He owned and operated the Asphalt Management Group.

Survivors include his mother, Lisa Carpenter (Stacey); four children, Noah Stratton, Avalynn Mae Coleman, Bailey Smith and Peyton Coleman; one grandson, Colter Robinson; three brothers, Eric Coleman (Danielle), Aaron Coleman and Jeff Reynolds (Elizabeth); and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Coleman.

A one-day service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.

Active Pallbearers are Eric Coleman, Aaron Coleman, Jeff Reynolds, Dustin Harmon, Kris Coleman and Dustin Cordier.

Honorary Pallbearers are Scotty Burkhart and Cody Rogers.
