Kathleen "Kathy" (Jufer) Hume Obituary (1941

Kathleen "Kathy" Jufer Hume, 76, of Stanford, KY, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at U.K. Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born October 5, 1941 in Ottenheim, KY to the late Louis and Martha Douglas Jufer, she was the widow of the late T.J. "Tuck" Hume. She was a member of Stanford Baptist Church. Kathy was an avid flower gardener who enjoyed the outdoors and loved to cook. Survivors include two daughters; Rena Hume Edwards of Danville, KY, and Monica Hume Godbey (John) of Stanford, KY; two brothers; Robert Jufer of Waynesburg, KY, and Fred Jufer (Linda) of Lexington, KY; one sister; Betty Yontz (Harold) of Cincinnati, OH; three grandchildren; Stephanie Hume, Logan Edwards Hampton, and Taylor Edwards; one great-grandchild; Jayden King; and one soon to be great-grandchild; Tripp Hampton. Visitation will be Sunday, December 31, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral service will be Monday, January 1, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Gutenson and Bro. Chuck Gutenson officiating. Burial will follow at Reform Cemetery in Ottenheim, KY.
