Larry Allen, Jr., 40, of Stanford, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020. Born on October 2, 1979 in Lancaster, KY to Betty Floyd Carey. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Stanford, KY. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching the Cincinnati Reds. Most of all, he loved his family. Survivors include his mother, Betty Carey (Marvin) of Stanford, KY; one son, Julian Allen of Casey County, KY; three daughters, Kasey Allen of Nancy, KY, Sarah Allen of Casey, County, KY and Calisha Allen of Casey County, KY; four brothers, Austin Carey (Elizabeth) of Stanford, KY, Sawyer Carey of Stanford, KY, Daniel Swinney (Frankie) of Junction City, KY and Chris Allen of Stanford, KY; three sisters, Jane Star of Stanford, KY, Kyra Carey (Clayton Boyd) of Stanford, KY and Joy Floyd of Danville, KY; an Aunt, Teresa Gingrass (Troy); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee Floyd, Birdie Floyd, Virginia Gordon and Happy Gordon; three aunts, Kim Floyd, Emily Downs and Kathy March; and an uncle, Tommy Floyd. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY with Rev. Johnny Thompson and Rev. Chris Taylor officiating the service. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason King, Justin Downs, Dustin Downs, Ethan James, Brandon Gaskin, Brandon Hicks, Xavier Allen and Zavon Allen. Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Allen, Dennis Johnson, Nathan Hicks, Clayton Boyd and Bubby Henry.
