Linda Burton Acey, 55, of Perryville, KY passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Born on August 25, 1970 in Danville, KY to the late J.B. Burton and the late Alene Hazlett Burton.
Linda lived a life defined by faith, family, hard work, and kindness. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and loyal friend whose warm heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Linda dedicated 20 years of her career to Ephraim McDowell Hospital, where she faithfully served her community. Alongside her husband, Michael, she proudly owned and operated Acey Livestock for 31 years. The business was far more than a livelihood—it was a passion they built together through years of hard work and dedication. Linda loved working beside Michael each day and took tremendous pride in everything they accomplished together.
A faithful member of Doctor's Fork Baptist Church in Perryville, Linda was deeply involved in her church family. She faithfully taught Vacation Bible School and found great joy in sharing her faith with children and helping others grow in their walk with Christ.
Family was the center of Linda's life. She cherished the countless memories made showing sheep with her son, Wyatt, through 4-H, an organization she dearly loved being a part of. She was also one of her son Wade's biggest supporters and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer him on as he played football. Some of her most treasured memories were the many horse shows she attended alongside her late father, J.B. Burton, moments she carried with her throughout her life.
Above all else, Linda loved her family wholeheartedly. She was a wonderful wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother whose love, encouragement, and unwavering support shaped the lives of those she held dear. She possessed a kind and welcoming spirit that made everyone feel like family. Linda truly never met a stranger, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her loved her.
Survivors include her loving husband, Michael Acey; three children, Shelby Acey Owens (Clinton), Wade Acey and Wyatt Acey; four grandchildren, Rhett, Clayton, Camden and Lennox; two sisters, Debbie L. Wilson (Stacy) and Jennifer R. Burton; uncle, Herner Burton; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Alene Burton; and three brothers, J.B. Burton, Jr. (infant), Rod G. Burton and John D. Burton; and one grandson, Porter Wayne.
