Lizzie Belle (Moore) Asberry Obituary (1950 - 2022)

Lizzie Moore Asberry, 72, of Lancaster, KY passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 17, 2022. Born on July 16, 1950 in Lincoln County to the late Ira and Celie Finley Moore. She is a widow of the late Stanley Asberry. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Lizzie was of the Pentecostal Faith. Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey Asberry, Danny Asberry and Rodney Asberry (Carrie); three daughters, Shonda McQueary (Charles), Ylonda "Karen" Tinsley (Tim) and Wendy Asberry (Mike Sutton); five sisters, Betty Pinkston (Eddie), Deanna Ballard (Howard), Peggy Sheffield (Kirk), Connie Belcher (Happy) and Barbara Brock (Tim); 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Asberry; parents, Ira and Celie Moore; one son, Randy Asberry (Ginny); one daughter, Rhonda Asberry; and one grandson, Jeffrey Tyler Asberry. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Zachary Asberry, Stanley Pike, Allen Eldridge, Bradley Long, Nathanial Smith, Dakota Goins, Deven Asberry and Danny Asberry, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
