Lois M. (Sowders) Davidson

Lois M. Davidson, 96, of Stanford, KY passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Stanford Care & Rehabilitation. Born on September 27, 1926 in Lincoln County to the late George and Bessie Ballard Sowders. She was the widow to the late Junior Davidson. She was a member of Fort Logan Auxillary and Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Terry Davidson, Jerry Davidson, Monte Davidson and Jeff Davidson, all of Stanford, KY; two daughters, Diane Playforth of Lancaster, KY and Brenda Rice of Waynesburg, KY;three sisters, , Dovie Cummins of Waynesburg, Ann Denham of Stanford and Georgia Smiley of Danville; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Davidson; parents, George and Bessie Sowders; two brothers, J.T. Sowders and Craig Sowders; two sisters, Bonnie Waddell and Imogene Singleton; one son-in-law, Mitchell Playforth; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Davidson two infant granddaughters; and one granddaughter, Tiffany Davidson

A one-day service has been scheduled for Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Fairview Baptist Church in Waynesburg, KY. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 p.m. with Bro. David Conrades and Bro. Gary King officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
