Loletia Sims McLeskey Obituary (1935 - 2022)

Loletia Sims McLeskey, 87, of Mt. Sterling, KY (formerly of Stanford, KY) passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 7, 2022. Born on August 8, 1935 in Kings Mountain, KY to the late Wallace and Jewell Greer Sims. She was the widow to the late William "Bill" McLeskey, Sr. She was a member of Eastland First Church of God in Mt. Sterling. Loletia enjoyed cooking, playing music, writing music and poems, and listening to Jimmy Swaggert. Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, William McLeskey, Jr. and Robert McLeskey (Deborah); one daughter, Barbara Robbins (Paul); eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McLeskey, Sr.; and parents, Wallace and Jewell Sims. A one-day service has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Ted Doyle officiating. Burial will follow at Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, KY. Active Pallbearers are Bobby McLeskey, Charlie Reynolds, Tristan McLeskey, Landon Barber, Tyler Reynolds, Todd Farrell, Robin Barber and Alan Jeffries. Honorary Pallbearer is Garth Kain.
