Louanza Fields Whitaker, 73, of Shepherdsville, KY (formerly of Lincoln County) passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at her home. Making her stay on earth 73 years, 11 months and 11 days. Her parents, who preceded her in death were Dewey and Cisiah Fields. Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 53 years, Harvey Whitaker; one son, Harvey Whitaker, Jr. (Debbie), nephew/son, Leander (Teresa) Whitaker; two grandsons, Joseph Whitaker, and Zack Dowell (Terri Ann); two great-grandkids, Zoey and Zane Dowell; one brother, Charles Fields (Patricia); and one sister, Rebexey Coss She was preceded in death by four brothers, George Dewey, William Jasper, Lowell Fields and Franklin D. Fields; five sisters, Letha Wagenschutz, Lily Elliot, Dora Alice Kilby, Virginia Marie Fields and Lois Jeanette Fields Visitation has been scheduled for Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Ralph Cloud, Elder Raymond Cloud, and Elder Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Double Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be nephews.
