Mary L. (Alderman) Escobedo

Mary L. Escobedo, 88, of Kings Mountain, KY passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born November 29, 1930 in Lakeland, FL to the late Mitchell Alderman and Bessie Lyles, she was the widow of the late Ramon Escobedo, and was a retired Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher. She was also a member of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Russell (Roy), and Frances Sauceda; six grandchildren; Alberto "Kaki" Hernandez (Esther), Catherine Tackett (Jeff), Alicia Olivia (Alex), David Sauceda, Gabriel Sauceda, and Ralph Sauceda (Vanessa); eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Estell Rossi, and Peggy Joyce. A one day service has been scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm with funeral service beginning at 1pm. Bro. Rick Reynolds will officiate the service and burial will follow at Russell Cemetery.
