Mary M. Johnson

Mary M. Johnson, 73, of Stanford, KY passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 in Lexington, KY. Born July 29, 1942 in Brookings, South Dakota to the late William and Bertha Culhane Rickerl, she was a homemaker for most of her life, and a lifelong member of the Hospital Auxiliary Board. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was a member of St. William Parish Catholic Church in Lancaster.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years; Milton J. Johnson, two sons; Bill Johnson (Susan) and Bobby Johnson (Lisa) all of Stanford, KY, one daughter; Denise Green of Lexington, KY, one sister; Pat Klocke (Ken) of Clinton, Missouri, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister; Betty Rickerl.

Visitation will be Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5-7pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. A private family committal service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Reverend Jeremy Johnson officiating.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (www.nationalbreastcancer.org).
