Matrie Ruth Coffman Obituary (1931

Matrie Ruth Coffman, 86, of Geneva, KY passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at home. Born November 23, 1931 in South Fork, KY to the late Walton and Rosie Dishon Johnson, she was the widow of the late T.M. "Tody" Coffman, and a retired employee of Genesco, Inc. She was a loving mother and a member of South Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include her three children; Gary Coffman (Geraldine) of Hustonville, KY, Joyce Mullins (Mike) of Waynesburg, KY, and Sharon Kirkpatrick (Hal) of Stanford, KY, one brother; Shirley Johnson of Lexington, KY, four grandchildren; Missy Harmon (Bobby) of Geneva, KY, Jeremy Mullins (Heather) of Stanford, KY, Melanie Grosjean (Joel) of Bangkok, Thailand, and Laura Parker (Robbie) of Hustonville, KY, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers; Harold Johnson, Orville Johnson, Lester Johnson, Ernest Johnson, and Elmer Lloyd Johnson, one sister; Stella Beatty, and an infant sister; Vera Johnson. Visitation will be Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford from 5-9pm. Funeral service will be 11am Friday, December 1, 2017 at the funeral home with Bro. Mike Mullins, Bro. Bob Kiper, and Bro. Matt Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. Casket bearers will be: Bobby Harmon, Jeremy Mullins, Lewis Ray Clark, Robbie Parker, Anthony Marlow, and Fred Reichenbach. Honorary bearers will be the women's Sunday School Class at South Fork Baptist Church.
