Nina Richardson

Nina Richardson, 79, of Hustonville, KY passed away at Ft. Logan Hospital in Stanford on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Born on March 6, 1947 in Casey County to the late James Smith and the late Elsie Greer Holton.

Nina was a loving homemaker, devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her granddaughter, and being her grandmother was one of the greatest thrills of her life. Nothing pleased Nina more than being surrounded by her family and sharing in the lives of those she held so dear. Nina was a member of First Apostolic Church in Danville, Kentucky.

Survivors include her loving husband, Carroll Richardson; one son, Stephen Lynn Richardson (Marcella); and one granddaughter, Kalynn Richardson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Smith and Elsie Greer; one son, Stuart Lee Richardson.

A one-day service will be on Friday, October 30, 2026 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The funeral will begin at 2:30 p.m. with Bro. Wayne Naylor officiating. Burial will follow at K.P. Hall Cemetery in Kings Mountain, KY.
