Oline Patton Miller Obituary (1929

Oline Patton Miller, 87, of Stanford, KY passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born March 26, 1929 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Ester Wilkinson Patton, and Gertrude Patton who raised her after her mother passed away, and she was the widow of the late Oliver Miller, Sr. She was an employee of R.J. Reynolds for several years and was a member of Boneyville Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her church and was member of the church choir for years. She also enjoyed flowers, and cooking and sewing for her family. Survivors include two sons; Oliver Miller, Jr. (Barbara), and George E. Miller (Priscilla) both of Boneyville, KY, three daughters; Wanda Barleston (James) of Somerset, KY, Beverly Miller of Boneyville, KY, and Danetta Miller of Stanford, KY, two sisters; Mae Loving of Clarksville, TN, and Anna Washington of Dayton, OH, 21 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son; Robert Paul Miller, one daughter; Esther J. Miller, two brothers; Emitt Patton and William L. Patton, and three sisters; Katherine Haire, Jeanette Garrett, and Addie B. Arnold, and two grandsons; Edd ByiRon Coulter and Brooks R. Barleston. Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 6-8pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral services will be 1pm Friday, March 3, 2017 at Boneyville Baptist Church with Reverend James Barleston, Sr. and Reverend James Barleston, Jr. officiating with Reverend Robert Coulter serving as Master of Ceremony. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandsons; Lionel Miller, Oliver David Miller, III, Braxston Miller, James Barleston, Jr., Germaine Miller, and Gerald Miller. Honorary bearers are: Ansarro Miller, Brian Miller, Stewart Haire, George Coffee, Todd Miller, and Glen Gooch.
