Paul "P.A." Edward Jones Obituary (1939 - 2019)

Paul "P.A." Edward Jones, 80, of Stanford, Kentucky passed away at home on November 10, 2019. Born on March 4, 1939 in Stanford, KY to the late Charles Jones, Sr. and Nannie Mae Brummett Jones. Paul was a member of Gilbert's Creek Church in Lancaster, KY. He worked and retired from General Motors after 30 years, where he worked on the assembly line in Pontiac, Michigan. Survivors include his wife, Freda Pope Jones of Stanford, KY; one son, Michael Wayne Jones (Marlene) of Stanford, KY; one sister, Eula Parks of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren, Michaela, McKenna, Maverick and Marleigh; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert Jones and Charlie Jones, Jr.; five sisters, Dorothy Greene, Nellie Denny, Lois Ann Carrier, Beulah Gartner and Arvena Fowler. A one day service has been schedule for Friday, November 15, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11 to 2 p.m. with the funeral following at 2 p.m. with Dr. Jerry Browning officiating the service. Burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery in Lancaster, KY. Pallbearers are Michael Jones, Larry Joe Long, Pete Long, Donnie Siler, Mark Wesley and Donnie Pemberton. Memorials in leu of flowers are preferred to Heritage Hospice of Danville, Kentucky or Lincoln/Garrard County Human Society.
