Peggy Combs

Peggy Anny Combs, of Danville, KY passed away peacefully at McDowell Place in Danville on Friday, October 23, 2026. Born on March 22, 1940 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Ernest Coleman and the late Ora Lanham Coleman, she is the widow to the late Gerald “Jerry” Lee Combs, Sr.

Peggy was a vibrant woman who was full of life. She loved to dance and sew. A devoted homemaker, Peggy took pride in caring for her home and family. Her faith was also an important part of her life, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She shared a special love story with her late husband, Jerry Combs. The two were grade school sweethearts. They were married in 1959, beginning a life together filled with love and cherished memories.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Combs, Jr. (Lisa) of Danville; two grandchildren, Zack Combs (Lauren) and Kathryn Truman (Philip); one great-grandson, James Michael Truman; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Combs, Sr.; parents, Ernest and Ora Coleman; five sisters and two brothers.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
