R.V. Elmore Obituary (1946 - 2017)

R.V. Elmore, 70, of Stanford, KY passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at home. Born November 16, 1946 in Roundhill, KY to the late Lossie Elmore and Grace Johnson Elmore, he was a Vietnam Veteran, a retired member of the United States Army, and was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service. He was also a member of Lancaster First Assembly Church. Survivors include his wife of 45 years; Ronni Elmore of Stanford, KY, a daughter; Robin Elmore Roberts (Brook) of Danville, KY, a son; Tyler Elmore of Stanford, KY, one brother; Michael Elmore, one sister; Linda Elmore Childress (Tema) both of Roundhill, KY, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Joe Elmore. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford from 5-9pm. Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the funeral home with Reverend Wendell Johnson officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Honorary bearers are: Michael Elmore, Branden Vincent, Michael Tarrence, B.J. Hoover, Johnny Sims, Micah Bird, John Sims, and Tim McClure.
