Randal A. Long Obituary (1942 - 2022)

Randal A. Long, 79, of Stanford, KY passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at home. Born on December 22, 1942 in Lincoln County to the late Edgar and Mary Moore Long. He was a dairy farmer for most of his life and also served as a State Deputy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Randall was a loving husband and the world's best dad, who loved his family dearly. He was also an Evangelist with Green River Pentecostal Church Jail Ministry. He was a member of Green River Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Midge Johnson Long of Stanford, KY; two sons, Raymie Randall Long (Kathy) of Stanford and Steven Floyd Long (Contessa) of Waynesburg, KY; two daughters, Saundra Dee Henderson (Troy Collier) of Stanford and Melissa Stacey Conner (Jeff) of Lexington; one brother, Kenneth Long of Stanford; two sisters, DeWilla Holtzclaw of Waynesburg and Drucilla Sinkhorn of Kings Mountain; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mary Long; and one brother, James Long. Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Green River Pentecostal Church. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Rick Naylor and Bro. Chris Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are David Long, Jeff Long, Kristopher Long, Brady Henderson, Wayne Simpson, Alan Long and Michael Lee Benedict. Honorary Pallbearers are Randy Long, Bill Walters, Bo Williams and Justin WIlliams. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autism Awareness or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
