Ronnie G. Powell

Ronnie G. Powell, 70, of Stanford, KY passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 at U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Born December 3, 1944 in Madison County, KY to the late Dewey and Nellie Farthing Powell, he worked as an auto body repairman for most of his life, and was the owner of Powell's Body Shop.

Survivors include his wife Erma Powell of Stanford, KY, one son; Harold Ryan of Pensacola, FL, one daughter; Catherine Powell Hill (Greg) of Stanford, KY, two sisters; Margie McQueen of Madison County, KY, and Fredia Johnson of Garrard County, KY, two grandchildren; Lily Nunemaker and Trevor Hill of Stanford, KY, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son; Ronnie Joe Powell, three brothers; Douglas and Delbert Powell, and Jennings Harris, and three sisters; Geneva Crowe, Opal Metcalfe, and Modina Winkler.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 5-8pm at Grace Fellowship Church in Stanford, KY. Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the church with Reverend Vola Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
