Ruby (Reed) Norris Obituary (1929 - 2017)

Ruby Reed Norris, 87, of Savannah, GA (formerly of McKinney, KY) passed away after a long illness on Monday, September 18, 2017. Born October 11, 1929 to the late Atlas and Grace Manning Reed, she was a homemaker and worked as a teacher's aide for KY School for the Deaf for several years. She was one of three beautiful sisters, was a great cook, loved nature, and being outdoors. Survivors include one son; Jeff Norris (Tammy) of Salvisa, KY, two daughters; Anne Norris of Savannah, GA, and Nita Norris Adams of Lexington, KY, one brother; Clint Reed (Brenda) of Franklin, TN, one sister; Rosalea Boone of Lexington, KY, three grandchildren; Brandon Adams, Robert Rader, and Lara Brown (Bill), three great-grandchildren; London Brown, Atlas Brown, Titus Brown, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister; Jewel Cooper. A one day service has been scheduled for Friday, September 22, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Visitation will be from 10am-1pm with funeral service beginning at 1pm. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
