Scotty Ray Young Obituary (1988 - 2017)

Scotty Ray Young, 28, of Crab Orchard, KY passed away Monday, May 29, 2017. Born December 20, 1988 in Somerset, KY to Lee Young (Tabitha) of Casey County, KY, and the late Tamra Young, he enjoyed being able to take the time to spend with his grandchildren on a daily basis. He also attended Polly Ann Church as a child. In addition to his dad, survivors include his wife; Bonnie Young of Crab Orchard, KY, two daughters; Peyton Young and Mia Young both of Indiana, one step-son; Brandon Lee Taylor of Crab Orchard, KY, one step-daughter; Brandy Leeann Shaffer (Jordan) of Stanford, KY, a step-sister; Makayla Miller of Casey County, KY, and five grandchildren; Hazel Owens, Peyton Coleman, Colt Shaffer, Lane Shaffer, and Kayson Downs. Visitation will be Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford from 5-9pm. Funeral service will be 1pm Monday, June 5, 2017 at the funeral home with Bro. Kenny Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at Cuba Cemetery in Eubank, KY. Casket bearers are: Nathan Owens, Nick Owens, Michael Ray Dick, Dustin Gonyer, Cody McFerson, and Scott Powler.
