Sherrel Davis Pyle Obituary (1949

Sherrel Davis Pyle, 68, of Stanford, KY passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born October 11, 1949 in Stanford to the late Maurice and Eva Blankenship Davis, she was the widow of the late Charles Pyle. She worked as homemaker for most of her life and was happiest in the presence of her family. She was also a member of the Stanford Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her daughters; Tammy Kirkpatrick (Todd) of Stanford, KY, and Samantha Dunaway (Tyler) of Harrodsburg, KY, three step-children; Craig Pyle (Tashia) of Charlotte, NC, Mora Stevens (Stephen) of Paint Lick, KY, and Charla Applegate (Robin) of Nicholasville, KY, two grandchildren; Megan Kirkpatrick and Miranda Kirkpatrick, two great-grandchildren; Noah Privett and Hadley Edwards, several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Robert Eugene Davis, and Kenneth Ray Davis, and one sister; Mary Lee Crowe. Visitation will be Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 5-9pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral service will be 11am Monday, October 30, 2017 at the funeral home with Bro. Shawn Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. Casket bearers are: Todd Kirkpatrick, Tyler Dunaway, Ethan Edwards, Megan Kirkpatrick, Miranda Kirkpatrick, and Taylor Martin. Honorary bearers will be: McKenzie Gamache, Helen Ingram, Peggy Nunamaker, and Cheryl Pruitt.
