Tarry Garris Patterson Obituary (1959 - 2019)

Tarry Garris Patterson, 59, of Stanford, KY passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, KY. Born on November 30, 1959 to the late Chester Kenneth Garris and the late Drucilla Baker Garris Young. Tarry was a member of Parlor Grove Baptist Church. She served in the U.S. Airforce from 1980 to 1990. Tarry loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Survivors include, her husband of 42 years, David Patterson of Stanford, KY; one son, Jefferey Miller (Victoria) of Stanford, KY; two daughters, Felicia Patterson (Kyle) of Stanford, KY and Karen Gibson of Monticello, KY; one brother, Darren Garris (Paula); one sister, Crystal Brown (Sam); one step-sister, Vicki Moore (Krys); twelve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Garris. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral will be on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 4 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY with Rev. Vicki Moore officiating the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Highland, KY. Pallbearers: David Patterson, Taysuan Bennett, Kyle Moss, Sean Gibson, Darren Garris and Nick Brown. Honorary Pallbearers: Chris Allen, Junior Allen, Sam Brown and Jeffrey Miller. Full military honors will be performed by, The American Legion, Caswell Saufley Post 18. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover funeral costs.
