Vola W. Brown has served as pastor in Lincoln County for over 40 years. In 1979, he came to Lincoln County from Pulaski County to become pastor of the Pleasant View Baptist Church where he served for 20 years; then was pastor of Freedom Baptist Church close to two years. After that, Vola was the founding pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Stanford where he served for 16 years.

Having been in the ministry for many years and doing many funerals, he has helped a lot of families through their grieving process. This experience will enable him to help our families who are hurting.

Brown is a graduate of The University of the Cumberlands, then served on the school’s Church Relation Board for a few years and has served many areas of ministry through the years. He enjoys watching his cattle graze on the farm.

Family is especially important to him! His wife, Jeanne Brown, is a retired teacher from Somerset City School System. Other family members include Kim Brown Jones, Stephen D. Brown, and Jeremy Compton. He is Papa to seven grandchildren who are incredibly special in his life.

Vola retired from Grace Fellowship and was installed as Pastor Emeritus. He enjoys helping other churches and is currently serving as interim pastor of Stanford Baptist Church.
